History of the Grimora Dynasty

Warrants of Trade are not always awarded as prizes; in some cases they are serve to exile those who present a threat to high-ranking nobility of the Imperium, but are themselves too powerful to simply remove. This was the case for the original bearer of the Grimora Warrant. Presented to him during the Age of Redemption, the Lord-Captain (XXXXXX) placed his martial skill and ferocious temperament to the task of putting dozens of worlds to the flame. Despite the initial glories of conquering new worlds for the Imperium, the Dynasty quickly fell into the disreputable path of the Cold Trade, hunting across the fringes of the galaxy for Halo Artefacts. Ongoing rumours of dealings with pirates have further sullied their name and influenced the dynasty’s fortunes; even with their vast wealth and indomitable character, the Grimora dynasty is still spoken of only in hushed whispers by the citizens of the Imperium. Despite this, the scions of the dynasty are traditionally renowned as a dutiful, hide-bound lot who would rather open their souls to the open Warp than betray their word.
